Welcome to Yoshie Research Group

The DNP Lab led by Professor Yoshie is affiliated with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Fitzpatrick Institute for Photonics at Duke University. We use nanophotonic approaches to develop novel photonic devices and enhance the performance and functionality of various applications, including computation, communication, and spectroscopy. We are particularly interested in light localization device technology in sub-wavelength dimensions. Research topics include 3D photonic crystal devices, 3D nanoptics, current injection microlasers, one-way propagation of light, and high efficiency photovoltaic devices.
