INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE:

June 1957-September 1957: Summer employment at Celanese Corp., Rock Hill, SC. Developing Automated industrial production processes.

June 1959-June 1961: Bell Telephone Laboratories at Burlington, NC. Member of Technical Staff, helped in development of radar guidance equipment for the Titan missile and weapons direction equipment for shipboard radar.

June 1961-September 1966: Bell Telephone Laboratories at Winston-Salem, NC. Member of Technical Staff, did research and development on microwave components used in the U. S. missile defense system. Member of Bell Laboratories committee for determining transmission line standards. Principal Investigator on Microwave Component Development Program (1964-1966).

May 1972-August 1972: Western Electric Company at Winston-Salem, NC. During summer employment, developed an improved design theory for microwave filters.

May 1977-1982: Laboratory Equipment Design Co., Durham, NC. Vice-president of small business for developing and marketing electronic instruments.

January 1982-1985: Avnet Development Laboratories, Durham, NC. Senior Scientist on development of high technology products for marketing by several divisions of Avnet, Inc.

July 1984-1986: SCI Development Corporation, Chapel Hill, NC. President of small business for developing medical electronic instruments.

July 1993-1995: Wireless Technology Associates, Durham, NC. President of small business for custom design work and consulting on wireless information transmission and reception.

March 1998-2002: Joines Electromagnetics, Inc., Durham, NC. President of small business for consulting and custom design work on applications of electromagnetic fields and waves.
